Living Is Fun In Idaho!

When I moved here, I learned about “Meetup”, https://www.meetup.com. What a great way to see what is available in an area where you’re new and to be able to choose a variety of things of interest to you. I’ve met GREAT people at Meetups… people who will be longtime friends as well as some really good business contacts.

There are all kinds of categories of local events that make getting familiar with the area and all it offers so very easy! It makes it incredibly convenient to sample the local faire and find like-minded folks. When I first arrived here to live, I chose to join one called “Boise Baby Boomers” and I still find it fun to learn about what’s happening like this morning I was greeted with an email for this event:

Outdoor concert by the Boise Community Band
Wednesday, August 10, 2016   7:00 PM
Bring your chair and relax on the lawn at the Idaho Law Library on 5th and Jefferson. Some of the tunes we’ll play are the Tiger Rag, Pink Panther and St Lewis Blues. This is a no host event. I’ll be in the 2nd row with my bass clarinet. Look around and talk to your neighbor. Some of them will be Boomers!

If you aren’t familiar with “Meetup”, it is a way to share local groups. Meetup makes it easy for anyone to find groups already meeting up face-to-face, groups getting together in local communities each day with the goal of improving themselves or their communities.

Meetup’s mission is to revitalize local community and help people self-organize. I found that it makes moving to a new area an adventure with a much easier way to access all that is offered and Idaho offers a lot of very affordable, quality things happening every day!

I’d love to share the availability and affordability of our housing market with you. It would be a pleasure. Just call or text or email me and let’s have some fun envisioning you enjoying Idaho!
